• Gbps – Gigabit per second. It refers to to 1,000^3 bits of information which is a billion bits. However, GBps (gigabyte) is about 8,000 bits.

Since the ISP network speedtest is measure in Mbps(Megabit per second) which is not MBps (Megabyte per second).

Suppose you have to download a video of 48MB from server through your broadband which have speed of 8Mbps. The total time take to download the video is equals to 6 second.
